The principal mechanic of the game is hacking into networks. The security will try to shut your connection down every step of the way, so be smarter than that! Learn to adapt your strategy based on both the hardware and modules in your deck – and also to each particular situation, as all the networks are uniquely procedurally-generated, all the way from their layout down to particular barriers, terminals, sentries, protocols, traces, and all the other elements.

Inbetween the network runs, the game slows down into its narrative layer, where stories of the city invite you to immerse yourself deeper into the world around you. Acquire new contracts, shop for better components for your deck, earn some money on the side, buy a miniature pink mutant spider, or just have a drink on the rooftop and watch the skyline with the other desperate misfits, figuring out your next move.

With a single playthrough taking just around an hour, everything in Netspectre is designed for high replayability. You’re offered different contracts to take, components to purchase, and special narrative choices to make each time that you play.
